ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTORS
Roxy Rueckert
Women are changing the gun industry and are the most rapidly rising demographic in a male dominated sport. Yet most women find it difficult to locate instructors that understand their needs. As a Certified NRA Pistol Instructor, Roxy Rueckert recognizes that women are different than men when it comes to the shooting sports. She says, "We learn differently, we carry differently, we respond differently. Women want a class designed around their needs and that's what we try to do at Defensible Me, LLC. In a male dominated sport we have to overcome many challenges that men don't face. Such as: OMG, it's soo loud! How can I carry my gun safely? What holsters work for women? How do I safely draw my gun? What about keeping my gun in my purse? Do I have to buy new clothes to properly conceal my gun? It's all part of the challenge women face and that we address with our classes."
We want you to learn to carry safely and confidently. It's all about training. We understand what you need. And we bring it!

I started hunting at age 6 with my father and grandfather. I was the dog! I bought my rifles and shotguns from my lawn mowing money. I can remember buying a shotgun from a shoe store and I was 63 cents short. The owner said, "Close enough!" I shot small bore rifle in competition starting when I was 12. Competing and hunting were a big part of my shooting time and skills development growing up.
